Mountain View Hotel

Mountain View Hotel sits at the heart of the King Valley community. Foolscap is revitalising the much-loved venue and accomodation to create a welcoming hub encouraging gathering, storytelling, and rest.

Foolscap is designing bespoke interiors for the restored public bar while collaborating with Ha Architecture on new prefabricated accommodation, located just around the corner from Foolscap's concurrent winery project. The design builds on the hotel’s roots as a regional institution, elevating the classic pub while remaining accessible and inviting.

Hospitality spaces feature warm, earthy materials including exposed brick, timber panels, charred window frames, and golden marble accents, softened with canopy-covered dining booths and nostalgic plaid carpeting. The accommodation combines vibrant, playful furniture with locally sourced refurbished vintage pieces.
