Soufflé
Dynamic, fluid, and endlessly reconfigurable, the Soufflé is a modular sofa designed for contemporary living and working. As workplace and home environments increasingly overlap, the Soufflé merges work, life, and leisure into a single, highly customisable lounge system.

Originally created for Foolscap’s own future-forward studio, the Soufflé was envisioned for a wide range of commercial environments, including hotel lobbies, retail destinations, and workplace breakout zones.
Pushed together into pit mode, the Soufflé creates the ideal setting for projector movie nights, reading in comfort, or an indulgent mid-afternoon nap.
Its name draws from the collective noun for clouds, an idea central to the interior concept and a metaphor for softness, lightness and continual change. The Soufflé embodies these qualities through its foam structure, sinuous forms and infinite configurations.

The Soufflé is made to order and manufactured and distributed globally by Grazia & Co.
The piece champions slow-design principles. Its modularity ensures each element can accompany users through all stages of life and move between family members over time. With no sharp edges and no hard materials, it remains completely child friendly. The Soufflé grows with its owner, from a compact studio apartment in early adulthood to a family home and later a coastal bungalow.

Despite an injection of playfulness, the Soufflé carries a quiet poetry within its block-module composition. Its sculpted backrest offsets its rectilinear base forms, catching light and casting soft shadows to create a distinctive visual rhythm. Whether configured as a single piece or arranged into sculptural compositions, the Soufflé offers multigenerational appeal and enduring adaptability. It is a system designed to evolve, surprise and delight, a sofa that keeps on giving.
