ANZ Global Headquarters
"We chose to partner with Foolscap because we were impressed with their vision and their ability to articulate that in a very cultural way. They nailed it completely," says ANZ CEO Shayne Elliott.

Foolscap have fostered a strong six-year partnership with ANZ, delivering three major projects embodying openness, connection, and innovative reuse.
For Australia’s largest single-tenant building, Foolscap designed the executive level to reflect this scale and stature. ANZ Global Headquarters’ Level 10 transforms the floor into a thriving hub of activity and interaction; inviting the building’s 6,500 staff members and visiting clientele to collectively enjoy a set of exciting and inclusive amenities.
Foolscap overhauled a traditionally closed-off executive floor into a premium space fostering transparency and connection.

The open-plan workplace dissolves hierarchy by integrating flexible open-plan spaces with a strong sense of hospitality which allows the bank to regularly host catered meetings and events.

Foolscap undertook complex stakeholder management to execute this major change piece across all teams, shepherding the CEO’s vision through strict board processes and regulatory requirements.
The team developed a comprehensive workplace strategy; gathering quantitative and qualitative data from all teams by facilitating user questionnaires, visioning sessions, functional workshops, and growth projections to ensure the design was purpose-built and future-focused.
Confidentiality was a priority, with acoustic performance carefully considered across all spaces to ensure private conversations could still safely occur.
The scope included all executive suites, including the CEO's own office, which was designed in close collaboration with the bank's leader.

Progressive zoning moves were made including increasing informal meeting zones, relocating the tech-bar, incorporating a gallery, and designing The Living Rooms which combined a lounge, cafe, and events space for both internal and external entertaining. These strategic shifts successfully encouraged the bank’s staff to explore the executive level and feel a sense of pride and ownership in their workplace.
Catered Meeting Rooms were designed using operable wall systems and tech integration to allow task-oriented studios to unfold, allowing large banquet-style dining.
Considerable existing materials and furniture were retained and reused within the project, including salvaged travertine and stone which was incorporated into the custom reception desks, Palla Diana terrazzo flooring, planters, and wall cladding.
